Mr. Angel Tejada is an experienced civil engineer who has
been working in the construction industry for the past 25 years.
With a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, he then worked as a
professional civil engineer in the Dominican Republic. His experiences
range from estimating, supervision, fieldwork, planning, scheduling,
roadwork and structural design to feasibility studies for tourist
projects and urban development, light and heavy construction, and
problem solving.
In the last nine
years he has been doing research in estimating on all sixteen divisions
of the Construction Specification Industry (CSI), in which he has
developed software that can do the construction takeoff. Given the
proper dimensions, the software can also calculate the total cost, the
bill of materials, man-hours and equipment hours. One part of this
software, (devoted to Roofing) is already registered in the Congress
Catalog in Washington DC.
Angel Tejada has developed software
that generates the complete CIS (Construction Inspection Services) 14
and 15 Schedule Review. CIS 14 is used as a guideline to approve the
project baseline schedule. CIS 15 is used for monitoring and
controlling the approved schedule baseline. The CIS' guidelines are
currently used at the Miami International Airport where he works as
scheduler analyst and consultant.
Angel
Tejada has created a claim avoidance system to help assist
Owners/Contractors in identifying ahead of time the potential for
disruption or delays that might impact the schedule. He believes that
for claim avoidance, the best actions are proactive. Rather than
reacting to the problems in construction, the scheduling consultant has
created a Proactive Claim Management Procedure.
All these analyses are done through a Construction Management System
called CMS. It combines: Primavera Project Planner, Montecarlo for
Primavera, CCE - CIS 15 / CMS 15: Schedule Review and Estimating
software developed by Mr. Tejada. |
