Scheduling, Training, conflict resolution.
Mr. Gerald Birnbaum is a highly
skilled project manager with over 25 years in the construction business.
He is known for his ability to create meticulous project schedules
for large projects. Jerry prefers to build his schedules with Primavera
Project Planner, but he also works with Suretrak and Microsoft Project.
Mr. Birnbaum is available to work on, or off-site on medium to large

Work Experience
- Dade County Public Schools:
1986 - Nov 1991, Coordinator of Scheduling and Reporting for Dade
County Public Schools Capital Improvement Program, projects included
development and review of schedules for construction of new schools,
renovations, and additions. Development of cost tracking systems
for construction of new schools, renovations, and additions. Introduction
of improved scheduling methods using the Primavera Scheduling Program
in conjunction with resource allocation to direct the activities
of over 350 trades-persons.
- Dade County Transportation Administration:
July 1977-July 1986, Manager of scheduling and claims analyst throughout
the design and construction of the Dade County Rapid Transit System
and the Phase I Metromover System with a total value of $1.3 billion.
Duties included those activities associated with a scheduling consultant
including supervision of staff in the development and maintenance
of integrated project master schedule using MSCS and later converting
to Primavera. Review, analysis and approval of over 75 individual
contractor construction schedules. Review and analysis of over 100
million dollars in contractor claims. Review of change orders for
schedule and cost impact and participation during change order negotiations.
Participation in progress meetings including statusing, updating,
and revising progress schedules as required. Development and maintenance
of computerized contractor pay requisitions.
- NYC Transit Authority: July 1973 - Aug
1977, Senior Management Analyst within the Engineering Department.
Tasks included: Establishment and maintenance of schedules for repairs
for the stations, track, and signalization. Maintained budgetary
reports for controlling costs on repair and restoration projects.
Developed computerized tracking system for capital construction
projects and purchase of transit vehicles.
- Fairchild Space and Defense: June 1970
- July 1973, Industrial Engineer: Worked on a system to monitor
and report the status of equipment retrofit programs and developed
time standards to improve the accuracy of bid estimates.
