Whenever the Comparison – Include Summary option is checked, a 2-Page Summary Report is printed along with all the selected Comparison reports. In addition, the Summary Report containing the resulting totals of each individual numbered Comparison report is saved for later recall. Each individual Comparison Summary is identified by a unique 6 digit “Series ID”. The prefix “SC” is used to designate a series run for Schedule Comparison. The remaining 4 digits is a unique name created from the system date and system time. Every Schedule Comparison series run can be accessed from the Schedule Comparison Summary Module. In the illustration below, a series run for Project ID MST-BL1 comparison to MST-BL1-UP01 designated ‘SCV802’ was created on 27-Jun-16 at 08:48. From the History Tab, the Schedule Comparison Summary Report can be reprinted containing the totals for each Comparison report printed for that Series. Selecting the Excel Export option prints a spreadsheet format of the Series information. The Variance Tab allows any 2 Comparison series to be compared. The Item History Tab allows individual reports to be printed. The Item History Tab allows a more detailed trend analysis by grouping comparison line items across multiple Comparison Series runs.

When a specific Schedule Comparison Summary is selected, and either Printed or Previewed, the output 2 Page Summary report is the same as when the original schedule comparison was performed. Note that the Series ID on the bottom right corner of the report is the same as the item selected and highlighted from the History Tab list.

The spreadsheet option is extremely useful in copy/pasting the Summary Comparison information into almost any other PC Application. When the Excel Export command button is selected, the highlighted Schedule Comparison data is saved as an Excel spreadsheet. In addition, a “wait window” is displayed that identifies the output location and the saved filename. The filename structure begins with “SC_” then continues with the combination of the Project ID, a dash, then the Series ID.

The output file is saved in the Zümmer/output folder as shown below:
Upon opening the Summary Comparison Summary spreadsheet, the following information is displayed below:

In the illustration above, only 20 of the 52-line items are displayed.

Use the search textbox fields to find Comparison summary reports by Modified Project ID.
When the Print or Preview command button is selected, the following report is generated.

In the Header Section, the selected Control/Modified Project #1 pair and Control/Modified Project #2 pair is displayed along with the Project Names, Total Activities and Data Date for the respective Project ID. The Comparison Variance Reports lists all Comparison Numbered reports 1 through 52. For corresponding Item listed, the Project #1 pair count and Project #2 pair Count are shown side-by-side. The variance displays the difference between the 2 Project pair counts. A negative variance indicates that the Project #2 pair Count is less than the Project #1 pair Count.
The Schedule Comparison Summary Item History Tab works in conjunction with the Selected EPS nodes in the Item History Settings Module as shown below. The Comparison Summary Item History function will limit its search through the Item History Items that were selected for Projects that exist under the Selected EPS Node.

In the Comparison Item History Selection Tab shown below, the Available Item(s) listbox displays the Comparison Reports that can be selected for reporting. A maximum of 10 Comparison Items can be selected. However, when none are selected, all Comparison Items will be printed or previewed. In the illustration below, Activities that Should Have Finished is selected.

In the printed Comparison Item History Report below, Activities that Should Have Finished But Did Not which was selected is now displayed.

In the illustration above, note that the “Should have finished” report was run four times. The trend for this Comparison Items shows that initially, there were 30 should have finished occurrences. Over the course of the remaining 3 Comparison Series runs, the amount of these occurrences has been generally reducing over time and significantly reduces during the last comparison series run.
