Work Order Analysis
Often in a major Construction Project or Program with multiple Sub-Projects, Work Orders or Change Orders occasionally
span multiple Sub-Project or Project Updates.
In this environment, Global Activity Codes are often used to construct Activity Codes intended to be use across multiple
Projects. In Ƶümmer, the Work Order Module allows the Scheduler to easily produce reports that can group Projects for a
given Global Code Item assigned to this module.
To use the Work Order Module, a Global Activity in the P6 System must first be assigned to the Work Order Module. To
do this, access the Code Assignment Window from the Settings Main Menu option.
Click on the Work Orders pull-down menu to display and to select the Global Activity Code Item that is used to list “Work
Order” items. The Pull-Down Menu displays all Global Activity Codes in the P6 System. It is not necessary for the Global
Change Item description to be named “Work Order”. For example, “Change Order” or “Change Request Item” is often
used in the Project environment.

A Project ID and Work Order is selected. In the Work Order Pull Down menu, a specific Work Order can be selected, or you can click on the “All” checkbox to indicate all Work Order are selected.
